ConeTime ("we," "us," "our") provides cloud-based autocross timing services and open-source timing hardware designs. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website at conetime.com and our cloud timing platform.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Contact information (name, email, club name) when you reach out via our contact form
  • Club and event data entered into the timing platform (driver names, car numbers, class assignments, run times)
  • Account credentials for club administrators

Information collected automatically

  • Photos captured by gate hardware during events (used for run-order verification and displayed alongside run results)
  • Timing data from gate hardware (IR sensor triggers, GPS timestamps)
  • Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the timing platform for your club's events
  • Calculate and display event results (class standings, PAX, raw times)
  • Match photos to runs for driver results pages
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support
  • Improve the platform and fix issues

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting, data storage, photo storage, and authentication (US East region)
  • AWS Rekognition — image analysis for run-order verification (photos are processed and not retained by AWS)
  • Google Fonts — web font delivery on this marketing site

5. Data Storage and Security

All platform data is stored in AWS infrastructure in the US East region. Data is encrypted in transit via TLS. Each club's data is isolated in a multi-tenant architecture — your club's data is never accessible to other clubs. Authentication is handled through AWS Cognito with role-based access control.

6. Data Retention

Event data (results, photos, run times) is retained for the duration of your club's active subscription. If your subscription ends, we retain data for 90 days to allow for renewal, after which it may be deleted. You may request data export or deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@conetime.com. Club administrators can export event data directly from the platform.

8. Cookies

This marketing site does not use tracking cookies. The timing platform uses session cookies strictly for authentication purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

ConeTime is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Event results may include minors who participate in autocross events with parental consent — this data is provided by the club, not collected directly from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active club administrators via email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
